About
The International Congresses of the Croatian Society of Mechanics (ICCSM) were founded and organized by the Croatian Society of Mechanics (CSM). The CSM is an association with objective to promote education, research and application in the field of solid mechanics and fluid. The aim of the ICCSM is to make an environment for exchange of new ideas and achievements in mechanical sciences. Prominent researches address the state-of-the-art advances in the mechanical sciences in the frame of plenary lectures. Furthermore, in regular contributions, scientists all over the world provide an international forum for presentation and discussion of recent advances in various fields of theoretical and applied mechanics. Special attention is always directed to the development of modern formulations. These scientific gatherings are also an opportunity for valuable interactions between junior and senior researchers that results with new ideas as well as new promising research directions.
It was always the intention to have the conference in an attractive tourist destination on the Croatian Adriatic Coast. Since inception, the following scientific gatherings were held
- 1th ICCSM 1994 in Pula,
- 2nd ICCSM 1997 in Supetar, Island of Brač,
- 3nd ICCSM 2000 in Cavtat,
- 4th ICCSM 2003 in Bizovac
- 5th ICCSM 2006 in Seget (Trogir)
- 6th ICCSM 2009 in Dubrovnik
- 7th ICCSM 2012 in Zadar
- 8th ICCSM 2015 in Opatija
- 9th ICCSM 2018 in Split
All conferences have brought together over 150 researchers all over the world and have been successful scientific events, and we hope 10thICCSM will continue in the same spirit.
